Wow! I had a fantastic birthday weekend at Disneyland California courtesy of Disneyland discounted tickets that mom and pop got from ACEBSA members discounts. I went with my big sister Sophie who’s thirteen and my little brother Ayman who’s four.
8.30am – Breakfast at PCH Grill with Mickey & Friends. We got the day off to a flying start with flatbreads, doughnuts and cornflakes with favourite Disney characters! I got to meet Lilo and Stitch, and I got my photo with Minnie Mouse for a special birthday treat. Sophie’s going to put them on her Facebook.
9.40am – Rode on the Soarin’ Over California ride, this was one of our favourites – we could even take Ayman on the ride! It involved beautiful simulated views of local attractions.
10.30am – Visited the reality of mine and Soph’s all-time favourite movie: Pirates of the Caribbean and booked a place at the Blue Bayou restaurant for dinner tomorrow night!
11.45am – Rode the Jumping Jellyfish ride, great fun for all the family!!
12.05pm – Went to Fantasyland and we all went on the Alice in Wonderland ride, Ayman, Sophie, me, Mom and Pop, down the rabbit hole!!
1.40pm – Lunch at Ariel’s Grotto where I got to meet three different Disney Princesses! This was another birthday surprise as I wasn’t expecting it JGot my pictures with Belle, Sleeping Beauty and Ariel!
3.20pm – Ayman wanted to go to Tomorrowland so we rode Space Mountain and it was brilliant, soooo fast!
5.45pm – Went birthday shopping on Paradise Pier, got some great toys and games as memoirs of our Disney trip.
6.15pm – Watched the World of Color show on Paradise Pier, a stunning light show! Tomorrow night we’re going to watch fireworks.
7.30pm – Back to our hotel for dinner after a fantastic day!! We have ACEBSA to thank for a brilliant hotel deal too, so we could get a weekend pass and visit everywhere in the park. Back tomorrow for more Disney magic…
Review Verdict: 5 stars, fantastic Disney experience, wouldn’t have missed it for the world, great birthday surprise for our little Jemma.
